Vigan Trip
VIGAN TRIP
12.18.2016
I think it's true. Kapag biglaan yung ang natutuloy. Why? because this vigan trip happened all of a sudden. We were at Mcdonalds that night together with three of my friends. We were planning where to eat for Kyra's graduation celebration. When we started to ask people for their availability it seems that a lot of them will not be able to go with us. That is when we decided to explore vigan instead. Kyra, our classmate being the generous lady that she is financed the trip. Yung pang libre dapat sa barkada yun yung pinang bayad namin sa tour.
We were able to score a day trip to Vigan. The trip costs 1000 pesos per person. This includes the transportation, the day tour and a lunch meal. Yes! may pa lunch meal sa 1000 pesos mo.
We arrived at telus cubao at around 10:30 pm because as per instructions we will leave the manila by 11pm. But hey! we were able to start moving 12:30am WOW!!!! The van that we will be using for the trip was fine, AC system was great. North pole feels. Pero tangina!!!! The capacity of the van was for 17 persons, and they will really squeeze in 17 inside! That would be fine if we are all skimpy and with the physique of a 12 year old. But my golly! We are not! You are dealing with adults here. So in my mind I am asking my self How am I going to endure this 10 hour ride from Manila to Vigan? I don't want to dwell to much on the negative, but my God. Kung pwede lang ako murahin ng pwet ko ginawa na niya.
We reached Ilocos at around 5:50am.
Our first stop for that day was the Bell Tower in Vigan
This bell tower was one of the main attractions for the tour. Before you can enter the vicinity of the tower you need to pay 25 pesos to the ladies guarding the gate. For what? I don't know. But since it was a great spot for taking pictures then why not.
There was also a church near the bell tower. I also took pictures of the church because I am interested about it more than the bell tower.

The interior is awesome! |
Our next stop was the BURNAYAN, or the place where pottery happens. Vigan trip will not be complete without visiting a burnayan.
Up next on the list is the Elpidio Quirino Museum

one of the most picturesque places that we went to. The place looks like you are in the Marimar setting. Parang anytime lalabas si Senyora Santibanez para apihin ka.
By this time fatigue and hunger was hitting us hard. This was the reason why we were not able to enjoy our next destination.
BALUARTE
When we entered Baluarte the only thing that caught our attention was the Potato Corner stall and the fridge full of soda. It was also scorching hot that time so we chose to eat and stroll. I did not even got the chance to take as much photos of that place.
And for the finale.
CALLE CRISOLOGO
I was really ecstatic on our way there. Finally I will be able to see what people were raving about. I have heard a lot of great feedback about this famous Calle Crisologo. And now it is my turn to see it for my self.
I was surprised that Calle Crisologo was just one street. I was imagining a small community that will warp you back in the Spanish era. The street was ok and the empanada was amazing. But if you are looking for a place that would suffice your Spanish Era architecture cravings you could just visit Intramuros. I am not saying that you should not visit Vigan anymore because going there will also give you a different kind of experience. But again, as for me, if you are after the Noli me tangere, Maria Clara Crisostomo Ibarra vibe Intramuros would be a better place to visit.
You must never forget to take a snap of you OOTD

In totality this trip was good. We were blessed enough to be able to visit a place as lovely as Vigan. Maybe the reason why we were not at our best self during this trip was the situation inside the van. It was really uncomfortable. We were so packed inside. No room for any movements that could help you relax your tensed body. 12 hours ride was not a joke.
However, as long as you are with your friends you will surely enjoy.
So, have you been to vigan? Feel free to share your thoughts in the comment box.
