Zambales Trip 2017

Zambales Trip
06.04.2017

Pristine beaches, white sand and breath taking views. These are just some words that could describe what our Zambales trip gave us.

The place we went to is definitely a place of relaxation. The people there seems like enjoying every second of their lives. Savoring the the beauty of the place. Unlike here in the metro where everything is in a rush.

We left manila at 2:45am, just enough so that we could avoid the heavy flow of traffic and for us to have an ample time to explore the place. Eunice's boyfriend, being the cool person that he is volunteered his car for our convenience. And as per our lodging and island hopping needs Bianca's boyfriend came to the rescue. In short I am the 5th wheel in this story.

I cannot elaborate about the route that we took or what road we used in getting there because in the whole transit I was either really talkative or very sleepy. In turn I was not able to at least track where we are already.

When we arrived in Zambales guess what, it was raining real hard. Ganda ng timing no? I was not disappointed to be honest. If it is raining still it's fine we can still do surfing.

We parked the car a few blocks away from the place where we will stay. I was really happy to see a beach again. The last time I saw one was 2 years ago when we went to Boracay. Walking under the rain on the beach is extra hard. Your every step needs extra effort because your foot will sink. Para kang nag leg day sa gym. However, the effort was all worth it when we reached the house. It was so nice. A humble lodge surrounded with pine trees.

We were really praying for a better weather because island hopping is the highlight of visiting Zambales. And yes! Sweet Jesus heard our prayers. Finally it was a sunny day. We ate breakfast first before gearing up for the adventure.

For our first destination

Nagsasa Cove
it was only the five of us in the boat together with the 3 other boatmen. You know, perks of being friends with the owner of the boat. HAHA. I was really in awe when we were near the island.

let me row your boat

it is not everyday that I'll be able to see such beauty. Lush green and crystal blue everywhere. WHOA! Ang ganda talaga. The rock formation was amazing.

We took a lot of pictures because you know, para sa blog. HAHAHA. The sand was white but not as fine as it was in Boracay. But still the beauty of this place is beyond compare.

We were told by one of the boatmen that the waves were getting bigger and was kinda hard for us to still push through to our next destination.

Capones Island

being the stubborn group that we were I think you know what we did. Yes, we pushed through the tides. HAHAHA, on our way to the Island the waves were like telling us "you kids are so hard headed, let me hit you with big waves!". It was a bit scary. HAHA it was like being thrown up and down in the middle of the sea. It was the longest 20 mins of my life. But as soon as we reached the shore it was a sudden change of emotion. From fear, it became amazement. The fear was worth it. The trail going up the island for a greater view of the beach was surrounded by plants I don't know. But they're beautiful.
We went up and the view will take you in a trans like state. You will be reunited with nature and you will appreciate more of the world.

Words are not enough, so below were the pictures I took from Capones Island. Ill be very happy to share it with you guys.

We did not stay too long because from a far we can already see large clouds forming. The fear when we were going to the island was doubled when we were leaving it because the waves became stronger. I was just quiet the whole time hahaha pretending I was calm. But inside I am calling all the saints that I know for protection HAHAHA. Splash of water here and there. Boat going up and down. WHOA! I was not informed that Zambales has its own amusement park in the ocean. Praise God we were able to arrive safe with all the beautiful images stored in our memories.

after lunch we slept and I think that was one of the best sleeps that I have had. Sobrang relax.

Of course every great adventure has to come to an end. We decided to leave at around 5:30pm.
sunset
We had our dinner in Extremely Espresso. I don't have pictures of the food but I do highly recommend this place if you visit subic. The serving was big and the price is budget friendly. The food tastes really good. We ordered Hot wings, Carbonara pasta ang Extra Large Pizza(chicken BBQ flavor and cheese tuna)

We arrived in Manila at 12:30am. Exhausted but happy.

Who would have thought that a 3 hour drive from Manila could be this rewarding. Honestly guys I think you must visit Zambales. The beaches were great. And you don't need to hurt your budget at all. Instead of spending too much time on social media why not reconnect with nature. Sometimes you we don't notice it but we are already spending 3-4 hours just scrolling through facebook.

So there you go. That is my share on showing you how beautiful Zambales can be.

Here is my weekend trip starter pack
